Looks like I have to put off the install. I pulled the Muffler out of the shipping box and it has a dent in it!!!!! You think the vendor will replace it for me????

Actually I didnt even think about it. I got it off of THmotorsports on this forum and they did not offer anything like that. I gave them my address, I payed and it got to me about 3 days later. It seemed to be well packaged but when I picked it up out of the box I noticed the dent.

call them and talk to them about it. they should take care of it for you. either directly or via HKS USA where they may have drop shipped it from

You wont be able to see it, but you should talk to them and work it out.

Which company was it shipped with, FedEx or UPS? It should be automatically insured for $100, and possibly for full price if the shipper is not cheap. Get yo money!

I think mine had a small dent too and it didn't bother me. It's a muffler - going under the car and you will prob only ever see the tips.

Go for the install!

I think a lot of us have bought our HKS exhaust from THMotorsports (Eddie - good guy to work with).

However, the packing for the HKS exhaust from the manufacturer sucked @ss and I'm not surprised you got a dent in it. My box was beyond damaged and I was worried that I was going to see a dent too, but it turned out okay.

If you don't think that you will part your car when you sell it, then I say just mount the thing and get it over with.

If you think at some point that you will part out the car, then I would try and get THM to send you a new one. Most likely you won't get as good resale value for a dented exhaust.
