Yay! Test pipes! Dyno?

Going over to Atlanta to pick up some test pipes for the G tonight. Helix tp's with nonfoulers.

I'm happy because the long downhill slide of never ending modifications has begun. haha

Has anyone dyno'd before and after with just test pipes? If not, I'm thinking of doing it just for curiousity's sake.

Wonder what it's going to sound like on a stock exhaust........................

I'd be curious what the results are but I would think on the N/A car, just a replacement of test pipes will not be beneficial to the car. You'd lose torque and many gain a few HP on top and the car would actually be slower. Just my thoughts but I'd like to see the graph if you get it done.

Me too. I had a friend who had almost opposite results. Test pipes on a 350z with a popcharger and borla exhaust. Gained almost 9-10 ft/lbs tq and only got 3 hp overall.

So we'll see what happens.

I'd rather gain torque!! Horsepower wouldn't too beneficial for everyday driving unless you are going at high speeds, and that hardly happens.

I don't think it'll do much on an N/A motor. Now FI is a totally different story. I still need to grab a set of TP.

I hope they're resonated. And even then, they better be good ones.

From switching out my Crawford cats to FI resonated test pipes, I gained 1whp. Not worth it imo. Just go turbo...
