Will TP's void my warranty?

I already had them installed and it just occured to me, am i going to lose my warranty over these? Im doing the CEL mod, but they are for sure going to smell these at the dealership. Will i lose my warranty over these, if so, consider them uninstalled tomorrow.

it all depends on your dealership...some are mod friendly and some aren't...you should post this in the regional section to see if someone knows of a mod friendly dealership near you.

You can't "lose" your warranty over test pipes. They can, however, deny you warranty IF the test pipes were the cause of whatever problem you were visiting them for.

For any major warranty issues, even though, like I stated above, they can't deny you warranty if, for example, your transmission goes bad (since TP's can't cause any tranny problems), I would still recommend you go back to stock before you visit them just to avoid any unnecessary headaches.

I don't think you understood what I previously said.

They will not, and cannot deny you a headlight recall because your have test pipes.

They did my headlight recall when I had an exhaust, intake, & spacer on my G35.

I know you PM'd me about this, but I'll respond here. I really don't know how Major Infiniti will react to the TPs. What are you having done? There are many scenaros to how they'll respond to the TPs. I know some dealerships won't touch cars that don't have the correct emissions equipment because if they don't disclose to the regional EPA office that your street driven car doesn't not have emissions control devices, then they can get fined quite heavily as well as yourself. I think the fine to the shop is around $5K and the car owner is around $20K.

Major has never given me problems, but everytime I go there, I put my stock intake pipe back on in place of the Z-tube. Anything I can do to hide the fact that the spacer is on there.

The hard truth is they can void your warranty (everything) or simply refuse to ever work on the car. When they do that, you're left with having to get a lawyer to prove your case or start paying for the work out of pocket.

well test pipes can cause 02 sensors to burn out faster, causing the car to run untuned which could affect the fuel system...so yes everything that the tp are hooked to can be voided...fuel system runs funny bc of the tp which causes your engine to run funny...
