if you going to go with HKS then you need to get your self coupe mid pipe, but i would recommend Stillen Gen 2 its alot louder if you don't like loud get HKS.

I like the sounds of the HKS sport. Sounds kinda exotic. Add a coupe midpipe to make it a little louder.

coupe middy does nothing for the 05/06 sedan. Your 06 midpipe is just as good and you wont hear/feel a difference if you do switch to a coupe middy. HKS is a better pick IMO

If you get an HKS muffler and HR y-pipe you get that exotic sound. The Stillen sounds louder but not in that exotic way and gives you more power.

MD VQ is my recommendation. Pricey, no dual tip yet, but produces an incredible sound and makes power gains.

If not I second the HKS/HR-y pipe idea.

What do you want from your exhaust?

If its looks and nice sound I'd go with the HKS/ Stock Middy / HR Y-Pipe combo (this is what I'm running)

If its strictly performance you are looking for then go with the Stillen Gen 2 or Motordyne Exhaust.

There are others to consider too, posted here: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...mpilation.html

O yea forgot about motordyne. There dual tips are coming out soon so you can wait for that, it gives you the nice sound and power. Comes out at 1200 shipped though, this includes the xyz pipe.

i have the HKS rear & coupe middy. i love it, a huge improvement over stock for the 04 car. your 06 has a middy more similar to the coupe so the HKS rear is all you'd need. that is certainly an economical mod if you find one on the marketplace. i got mine 3 months used for $300cdn last year. the install is VERY easy so it's a DIY.
