Dumb Exhaust Question
Dumb Exhaust Question
Sigh, hate to ask... but feel I have to... my 2004 Sedan, stock exhaust... noticed that of the two pipes sticking out... ONLY the outside one (one on left when you are behind the car looking at it) seems to be putting exhaust through? Now, if I stomp the pedal, then the other pipe next to it seems to be putting exhaust through... is this a feature or is something not quite right?
You can also see on cold mornings... the outside pipe has exhaust, inside none - again unless you stomp it.
ALso, when I get down there and look into the pipes, the outside one is nice and black etc... the other seems to be very clean?
Thanks folks, this is driving me nuts.

Nothing to be worried about, this is normal on the stock sedan exhaust. Check out this thread:

it seems like more exhaust comes out of the left pipe on my stock coupe as well.. but i think that's just cuz the y pipe goes towards that part of the muffler? i'm not good with terminology so maybe I have the wrong term.
