Turn your G35 into a Tug boat!!

Just installed my Injen exhaust. Great looking exhaust. Much better than stock. But...here's the but...I should buy a captain's hat and see if any large boats need help. Please tell me that this goes away after it breaks in. If not, I guess someone will be getting a deal on ebay.

I got to hear one at a meet a couple of weeks ago and it sounded pretty good. Maybe it gets better with break-in. Then again, maybe it does sound like a boat and that's why I like it since I'm around boats all day.

The freakin' pictures were a pain in the *** to crop. I took the pic with a 6Mb pixel camera. Way too much res for this picture. Sorry. The pipes look really great. The sound is ob·nox·ious right now. The only other exhaust I considered was the Stillen and the Injen had a better tone, didn't lose low in torque, and didn't have the one piece canister - which doesn't look that great - IMO.

I agree. I've had my Injen on my coupe for about 2 weeks. Looks good, but not happy at all with the sound, especially at idle. Has a fluttering (rough) sound. I called Injen & a Tech says that is the way it sounds. I ask when the "stink" will go away. His reply, a few months! My other choice was a Stillen. I'm going to give my Injen a few months. I will end up getting rid of it and buy a Stillen. Have one on my 300zxTT. I think the sound will be richer & smoother at idle.

Re: Turn your G35 into a Tug boat!!

My funky smell went away after the first day. Granted I drove it like a banshee. The sound seems to have mellowed a bit in the last couple of days. I had a guy a work tell me that he loved the sound when I drove by him so I'm going to give it some time to "burn" in.
