Question Stillen or Popcharger

Is it true there really aren't any HP gains from a stillen intake/popcharger with z-tube?

Which one would you prefer/why and what else would the user have to buy along with intake and ztube?

Please help the fraction of your time to answer would be very very helpful to me.

Also what is this Magnum FORCE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System I hear about ? Worth it Thumbs up/down ?

Thanks

FYI I'm picking up my Stillen intake this weekend, already have a z tube on the car. Just to confuse things, I may switch to the popcharger filter for the extra whistle, if I decide I really want to.

To sum up what everyone else has said and will say:

CAI for our cars are purely for sound. You may get 1HP out of it. You have a few choices, each with their own sound. These are 3 of the more popular ones:
My biased opinion would say go with the Stillen CAB because it has the lowest intake temps and it is what i have on my car.

If you want some noticeable performance gains look into the Motordyne 5/16 spacer.

Your lucky im in a good mood. But for future refference please search. There are countless threads discussing this topic

        ^+1

both intakes are mostly for sound and slightly better mpg but not enough hp/tq gain to notice

        +2

The stillen looks a lot better but you are only paying for the looks and 1-2hp at most.

Get a Stillen Intake + Z Tube or keep the stock airbox, add a drop-in Filter + Z Tube and call it a day.

Personally, I would go with the Stillen (as I did). The JWT has a hideous & useless "heat shield". The last thing you wan't to do is heat-soak the intake/filter.

        .

does anyone have the AAM intake filter and heat shield? if so please post pics. just to throw another one in the mix.

btw, I have the JWT with CF Z-Tube and think the sound is great and the looks are better than just a black plastic box. too muck like stock IMO.

JWT Popcharger: Little heat protection but not much. Does not utilize center air scoop.

Not that I'm an advocate of the JWT but it does utilize the OEM center air scoop it just doesn't funnel the air into a closed air box. If someone needs to choose between the two, I suggest the Stillen or just use a higher quality drop in filter with the OEM air box.
