What makes more power?

What makes more power? Mrev2 or a true dual 2 or 2.5 inch exhaust? considering HKS Borla Injen

MREV2 w/ Spacer on a REV-UP motor...

the Power to $ ratio is double with the MREV, for the money you pay for the exhaust, you get half the power.

if your 6mt then md merv2 and 5/16 spacer, intake, and exhaust...

be sure to reset your ecu if you get the mods

I have the 04 car, so I'm assuming that's the non-rev up engine. If that is the case, with my mods, do I still need to reset the ECU?

sorry, I don't mean to steal the thread, I've always had this question and wanted to put it to rest once and for all. Thanks.

If you have an 04', you don't need the MREV. Just get a spacer and do the exhaust.

Possibly, however not more than 2-3 hp. You are still going thru the somewhat restrictive stock exhaust. So any gains would be moot.

For a revup, the spacer + MREV2 makes great power for the money. Non-revup, just go ahead and get the spacer.

If you get headers, might as well get a better flowing exhaust & HFC/TP's in order to take advantage of its potential.

Everything goes hand-in-hand. That's one reason why im doing a full exhaust (headers, test pipes, exhaust). I'll definately need a tune after that though.

If that's too much for you, then go ahead and just get an exhaust paired with tp's/hfc. (The stock cats seem to be the biggest bottleneck in the stock exhaust configuration).

Test pipes lean out the AFR mixture significantly to the point that, if you have enough breathing mods, you will definately need a tune.

I only had an exhaust, spacer, & intake prior to installing my test pipes. And when I did, it leaned out my mixture well enough that I could definately feel a loss of power because the ECU was retarding timing (rev-up).

PS. An ECU reset has nothing to do with an actual ECU reflash/tune.
