Best Intake Combo

Hello..I just got my g and like my previous car I want to start putting some stuff in it right away. It is an 03 w/ 6MT. My question is, what is the best intake setup? Stillen z-tube and jwt pop charger(why is called this?) Or stillen z-tube w/ stillen CAI, or Stillen z-tube w/ stock air box w/ K&N filter. Also I plan on putting NGK Iridium Plugs, royal purple or eneos oil, k&n oil filter, and the plenum spacer(1/2 or 3/8), AMS carbon-ceramic brake pads, and mabey a SS clutch line to start...Is that a good start or do you suggest other products that would be better for this car? I know its alot of questions but just trying to see what is best for the G.

I got the Stillen + Z Tube. Pop charger looks real bad to me... I didn't get a plenum spacer yet, so can't help you there but check out MotorDyne

When all is said and done . . . You will be well served with simply a Z tube and a high flow drop-in filter, such as a K&N or an Amsoil.

I wanted to keep a clean/stockish look under the hood so I got the Stillen intake and z-tube with Motordyne 5/16th spacer. The Stillen intake looks like it belongs in the car and the 5/16th spacer lets you keep the engine cover on quite nicely (although there are mods to allow keeping the cover with larger spacers). IMO the poop charger looks like...poop.

In any case, don't expect huge gains from any of these mods. In our cars they are mainly for sound and/or look.

BTW, there are probably about 12 brazilian threads on this topic so you won't get many responses to this thread. Search is your friend.

Motordyne 5/16th spacer is really the only thing you will see good gains from... and a z-tube will help as well.. its less restrictive
z-tube on the left g-tube on the right

short ram intakes like Stillen high flow air box/z-tube
are mostly for sound very little hp/tq gains... not enough to notice

o and slightly better mpg too

cold air intakes are not good most lose power

so i got a K&N panel filter to replace my oem infiniti one. upon removing the stock dirty one i noticed that the oem intake box employs a small velocity stack such as the one you might get with the stillin or JWT intake which makes me further doubt the design advantage of either short ram intake for the money. nissan did as much as they could to achieve the best cool airflow coming into the intake.
