Any thought on Cheap ebay exhaust and HKS carbon muffler?

I was thinking i can save some money and get a nice sound if i go the ebay exhaust and then purchase two HKS carbon TI mufflers and have them welded on

The welds on ebay exhaust are crappy and so is the overall quality of the exhaust. You get what you pay for. Better to save up and buy an authentic exhaust. It will cost you less in the long run.

I would pass...you may end up causing yourself more trouble than what its worth. If you're gonna do it...do it right.

ebay exhaust welds are great

the exhaust i had on my eclipse turbo had no rust
my buddy has an apexi exhaust and has rust on it already

to me...piping is piping
save the money on the exhaust and use it on something that more crucial (spelling?)

i just can't justify spending anymore than 500 for pipes
since i build exhaust systems myself....
besides, you can't see it anyways, it under the car
as long as the welds don't break off ...your good

what exhaust do you plan on buying and hacking up? did you consider whether or not the cans will fit/line up properly?

what's wrong with spending a few extra bucks on a sure thing? why do people like to gamble their money? :

one of the primary reasons i chose the exhaust i have is because of the looks. it can be seen clearly from the rear.

no doubt your exhaust tips look good....

but for me...i'd rather get pipes done for $200 canadian and buy 2 n1 mufflers and weld them on...

maybe i'll get some magnaflow resonators and slap them in
with the money i've saved, i can probably get a electronic exhaust control
valve and install that too...so when i cop is behind me, i'll just close off the sound.

man, i'll probably have money left to buy a flame thrower from autoloc

just playing with you man...
but for me...i'd rather save that extra money and buy a plenum spacer and intake

i don't mind spending the money of stuff like cams, pistons, lifters, etc. but for exhaust pipes, i think its jjust not worth it
