Exhaust Muffler Hanger questions?

I need to put a hanger on my muffler but I do not want the exhaust shop to weld it to my car, but rather bend it so it will fit in the rubber sleve thing underneith my car.

I was thinking the best way to do this.. I was thinking of taking a long peice of metal (the hanger they would use), welding a bolt at a 90 degree angle at the top, slip it through the rubber hole, then screw a bolt to the end of it, then weld it closed.

Any ideas from you all, or should I just go for the weld on the body?

THANKS!

they usually weld it to the muffler and utilize the stock rubber mount

Awesome, because when my buddy took his in they just welded from his muffler to the body. Good to hear they use the rubbers, just as anyone should
