just got a nismo exhaust on my coupe, it's the first aftermarket exhaust i've ever bought (no i'm not a high schooler). I was wondering how long it takes to "break in" and whether the exhaust note changes, or the sound level mellows out, or if there's any change at all?

would appreciate any help, thanks!

I think it take at least 1 month of daily driving. The sound will tone down alittle, but I don't thing that will make it much quieter then before. I had the injen ses and that thing was tooo loud. Had to sell it because the wife was bi*ching about it. I think the Greddy is the quietest of them all. I hope this answer your question.

 

Mine has over the last couple hundred miles. Love the power, love the sound.

Like my hero DaveO, my sys. ( Borla ) toned down after
200 mi. I belive that all true Dual exh. sys. have a low end
drone. ANYONE agree or disagree ? Lets give the Person
some info! There is a ton of comments in our past threads,
but lets do a quick up date the newer owners?

I think my Borla TD on my Coupe has gotten slightly louder since installing. Seems to have mellowed too, with a lower tone. I like it a lot.

You should have kept the Injen, it calmed down after a month or so. Still a big difference from factory. I love it!

I have the Borla and I think it is not as loud as when I first installed it. Had it for about two months now.
