Exhaust Recommendations for 07' 5AT G35c

hey guys,

i have done a load of searching on this forum and saw some input here and there, but not exactly what i was looking for.

i currently have a 2007 DG G35 5 AT. i am looking for a new exhaust. I have looked into HKS, X02, Fast Intentions, and Fujitsubo.

My biggest concern right now is the sound and droning issues. I heard that Fast Intentions have a lot of droning with the 5AT. how are the other 3?

How does the HKS compare to the X02 in terms of build quality and performance?

What would be your rating in terms of which to get, considering the sound, price, aesthetics, and build quality?

thanks!

I like HKS, FI and NISMO, as far as droning i don't know, personally I can tell you I had HKS exhaust on my EVO and it was flawless.

the X02 is a rip off of the the HKS, same design cheaper materials. i'm a big fan of the A'PEXi N1, great sound and not played out like the HKS.

i really prefer a true dual exhaust, but have you guys had any experience on any of the single ones? ie. JIC, Apex N1, GReddy Ti-C?

i wouldnt mind having a single canister exhaust.

is there a big difference in power gains/losses between a single catback and a dual exhaust?

Looks - HKS Ti / Injen Ti

Sound - Borla

Price - XO2

That is my opinion. Looks and sound are definately up to you but price well XO2 has everyone beat I think haha. I have read a few horror stories about XO2s build quality but I have also read a few threads about people praising it. I have been doing alot of research myself for my car and I have narrowed my picks down to Borla or Injen. Love the sound of the borla but love the looks of the Injen/HKS with the dual cans and single walled titatium tips.

HKS is the only way to go. It may be more expensive, but it far surpasses every other exhaust in all categories. No drone, great sound, not too loud, LOOKS AMAZING, and great quality. And just add test pipes or HFC's to make it louder if you want. Best Exhaust out there. I highly recommend it.
