Weapon-r Cold Air Intake

Would like to know if anyone has tried the Dragon weapon-r
cold air intake. According to independent testing this intake
offered the most HP increase over other name brands.

They also offer a ram air intake similar to the Gruppem
but much cheaper. Feedback would be appreciated

You can check them out at www.dragonintakes.com

I don't see that they make one for Infiniti. Do they?

Re: Weapon-r Cold Air Intake

I would be careful about buying it if it fits a 350Z. Our intakes are a bit different from the 350Z Make sure to contact the distributor before ordering. I'm not trying to say they won't fit (some 350Z intakes do fit) but a call would not hurt...

I have already talked to them and they said the fit would
be fine. Would like to hear from someone who has or
has used the weapon-r. According to the testing it gave
the best results.

Re: Weapon-r Cold Air Intake

Weapon-R uses foam filters, which while flowing more air than paper element filters like KNN or the Injen CAI which probably leads to their claim of being able to produce more power, can't trap dirt particles or any other foreign things other than pure air as well as paper elements. You risk sucking in something that can potentially harm your engine. Foam filters also can't be cleaned I think, so when one gets too dirty, you gotta throw it away and get a new one. Personally, I've never trusted weapon-R, and would go with an intake from a more reputable company, like KNN, Injen, or Jim Wolf.

Re: Weapon-r Cold Air Intake

Your right about them being a foam filter. From what I read
about foam if it is configured properly it is ad good as k&n or
better and u can clean the weapon-r. If weapon-r has a down
side it's the price of the cleaning kit $27. U stated u never
trusted them is it just a feeling or did u have a bad experience
with weapon-r.

HKS & GReddy both use foam filters...are they not reputable companies?
