Intake Comparision with dyno charts
Hi there,
As you guys can see I'm a noob here and to the whole G35/Import Scene...I was into Domestic and had 3 fords before, last one was a mustang...
well anyways, I searched but didnt find the information I need...I'm looking for a comparision of intakes and the power (even tho its very minimal) that they produce with dyno charts if possible...
Also which one is considered to be the best intake out there?
I'm currently leaning towards Cold Air Intake from Injen but don't know about the other brands...
Thanks

My vote....Stillens CAI + Z-Tube!
Some of you guys don't have a clue, Intakes serve a purpose when combined
with (example) MotorDynes spacer 5/16" or 1/2" and a high flow cat-back
exhaust system....Air in....Exhaust out. Not to mention it sounds sooo sweet.
Stillens CAI is one of the best on the market and doesn't have issues with
HEAT SOAK which many metal open filter units do....it's summer time....keep
everything cool!
HEAT IS YOUR ENEMY!

my .02...
-on heatsoak: it's ur upper plunum that''s gonna cause the most heatsoak
-CAI vs SR: technically, any intake that draws air from infront of the radiator is a true CAI. the stock set up is pretty much a SR because of the power duct. CAI pipping heats up worse because there's more of it. SR that still uses the factory duct is still cold air as long as there's a heatshield near the filter. no aftermarket intake makes more than a few hp w/o a tune but alot of them DO loose power.
-Best intake for strait up performance: OEM 350Z-tube & hf panel filter
-Best out of the box intake system: Z-tube & Stillen hf box
-Best intake all around(sound, looks & performance): poished intake pipe(ARC or any polished type Z-tube) & JWT pop-charger
-My setup: ARC + JWT + Blitz
My performance mods:
-JWT Popcharger w/Blitz SUS filter
-ARC intake pipe
-Motordyne 5/16" Iso-Thermal plenum spacer
-AMS light wieght pulleys
-HKS Twin Power DLI-II ignition amp
-Stillen grounding kit(silver)
-NGK Laser Platinum spark plugs(one step colder)
-Stillen engine damper
-DC Sports ceramic coated headers
-Kinetix High-Flow Cats
-Stillen Generation 2 dual-path cat-back exhaust
-Technosquare ECU reflash & tune
