If you are going by online sound clips, you really have no idea. They often sound very different in person than they sound on a recorded clip. There are far too many variables there.

wow im glad you make more money than i do.. thats awesome! im so proud of you.. if you were smart with it you would invest in a mutual fund since your so young.. thats why im considering megan.. dont want to waste away all my money. and ive spent a lot of time looking at borla.. it doesnt even sound much different than stock really.. its real quiet.. ive considered doing aftermarket y pipe with coupe mid pipe also.. i just dont know yet..

o and you make absolutely zero sense when you say " only people who own megan say its good" but you then say it sucks... i dont know if you know this or not but reviews on ANYTHING are better when you hear from people who actually own the dam item.. if you dont own it than how do you know it sucks.. cause you even say people who own it say its good..? you want to explain.. if people who own it say its good, than how come you say it sucks.. youve never had megan

so this is the best way to explain you i think..

BIG BUCKS, little brain.......????

Just ignore G35Rider92649's comments. Megan isn't a bad exhaust at all, but their catback is designed more for a turbo setup. I would say the best/cheapest exhaust combo for the 03-04 Sedan is probably an HKS axleback paired with an 05-06 midpipe. Both should cost you around $475.

Kidd, I replied to your PM and I mentioned it to Trey. He made a face when I said the Megan so I'm guessing he has a strong opinion about it. LOL

well i mean until someone who OWNS a megan catback exhaust and tells me they dont like it, than i cant see whats wrong with it.. im not disagreeing and saying its a good exhaust.. im just saying i dont see whats so bad about it..

but dont you guys agree with me that the dumb@ss above makes absolute zero sense when he says megan products are bad and that only people who own megan say they are good... if he had any sense he would relize that if poeple who own the products say they are good... THEY PROBABLY ARE

now again.. im not saying megan products are good... i just want someone who owns the catback exhaust and the y pipe that they are bad products.. cause my friend who does have the catback and y pipe says he loves his exhaust.. and that there is nothing at all wrong with it

Yeah, that's my blue sedan in the youtube video. I had the Megan Full catback and just the axleback with 05-06 midpipe. My opinion about the exhaust is exactly what I said above.

its ideal for turbo because of the three inch piping or why..? sorry i really dont know much about turbo... or exhaust.. or anything with cars..

why does your car sound a lot more raspy at the track than it did by your house..? or is that just me.. is it the midpipe??

what have you not liked about your exhaust..? i mean you say megan isnt a bad product but there is obviously something wrong or something you dont like if you would suggest another exhaust.

thanks for your time and help.. i greatly appreciate it..

Not exactly. I'm thinking he is trying to get you something that will sound similar for the least amount of money.

Megan is 3" all the way from the mid-pipe to the axleback with minimal resonance. It drones in the 2-3.5k rpm range, but a turbocharger should be able to eliminate that. The rasp is there with the 05-06 sedan midpipe because I have a leak somewhere in the exhaust. It actually sounds the same as the 1st video, but a lot quieter with no droning whatsoever.

I wanted my exhaust to be a little louder than the HKS setup, which is why I decided to keep the Megan axleback. I believe the HKS axleback is 2.5", and the Megan is 3".

NO ONE let my husband find this post I complain constantly about the drone is his car in that same range and this is NOT the solution I am hoping for.
