There's a newer version out now, it works a lot better with the G. I have the old version, love it, and didn't have any problems installing it.

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

Could you explain in more detail please? I just got a Nismo CAI 2 days ago. If the new one just came out, I wonder which version I purchased. I'd be pissed if I got the old one.

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

The new one has a single long pipe from the throttle body, eliminates needing to use the MAF body and uses the sensor inside the long tube...

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

The MAF is in tube underneath...You simply remove it from the original plastic MAF body and re-install in the provided slot on the tube...Install was not too bad, need to remove the wheel and wheel well cover to slide the filter down into position without damaging the filter (Very Fragile FIlter, DON'T DAMAGE IT by forcing it down there). I also cut the styrofoam insert behind the air slot so as to not block air and position the filter nicely, it is in the way if you don't cut it...

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

One other install note...Make SURE that the MAF sensor is TIGHT inside the tube...THe screws from the MAF were just a hair too long and the MAF jiggled inside the tube with the screws completely tightened. I inserted high-temp rubber washers to make sure it sat firm in the tube...If it jiggles, it will get damaged and need to be replaced...VERY expensive part from Nissan...

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

I dont think there is any different, i got the first gen too, as seen from the pic...CAIs are alike...wont make any different...they will drop your power in low end and gain little bit at high. What i like is the sound of a CAI after 4rpm

Re: Any News On Nismo Intake?

Performance will be the pretty much the same, it's more an appearance and installation upgrade than a functional one...
Just less connections and pieces....

Nismo intake for a G35? Am I missing something, or is this a 350Z intake? does it work for the sedan?
