How in the hell can you base your opinion on whether the HKS sounds good or not with test pipes off a fvckin YOUTUBE VIDEO. Go out and hear it on a car.

 

I have the JVT test pipes....They retail for 150 but I picked them up on EBAY for 80bucks.

so far so good.

 

Feel free to stop posting here any time if your just gonna put negative comments. Also The MOD, Canadian, has the same test pipes i ordered and he has an HKS and it sounds beast.

Two HKS guys with contradicting posts FTW. Because I highly doubt you've heard The MOD, Candadian's exhaust set up in person.

Not exactly sure how the posts are contradicting and its CANADIAN not CANDADIAN... I dont need to hear it in person, it sounds great on youtube and will most likely sound better in person. How about you get off HKS' nuts, its not their fault you cant afford their stuff.

That guy's always bashing the HKS, but he's right this time...I had FI resonated testpipes paired with my HKS and it would rasp past 3K...It sounded really good

under 3K and when revving at a standstill...But it does sound like rice after 3K and the rasp is embarrassing (at least for me). I ended up selling them after

about 2 weeks...If rasp doesn't bother you then go for it.

 

I **** on HKS because of how stubborn the owners are.. They think their exhaust is gods gift to man. Too bad it doesn't sound that good and its one of the most expensive exhausts for this car.

Its pretty much principal that you're going to get rasp with test pipes and an exhuast like hks. You can even check youtube.


Who cares how canadian is spelled.. were talking about exhausts and test pipes, not spelling and grammar.

 

It is impossible to know how an exhaust sounds from YOUTUBE videos. And in your other post, how are you going to say that we havent heard it in real life on a car. I've heard countless HKS exhausts on VQ engines with and without test pipes...In fact, i hear one every single damn day. My own.

 

I was talking about steven blake. He mentioned canadian's G and I said that I highly doubt you've actually heard his car in person.

Why are you arguing w/ the youtube videos? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to hear rasp... All the G's w/ HKS and test pipes that have videos on youtube have rasp.. You can clearly hear it.


So far from what I've been hearing from HKS owners is. (All from different threads obviously)

1. HKS is the best exhaust out there for any car.. EVER.
2. HKS is the sexiest looking exhaust out there.
3. HKS is the best sounding exhaust out there.
4. HKS is immune to rasp no matter what kind of test pipes you have.

All 4 of which are false.

The first 3 are opinions...tha last is not. To me, the HKS isnt the best sounding exhaust. Only thing i like better is the Amuse, but im not willing to spend 2k + on an exhaust. Now, imo, it is the best looking and it is the best overall, which is why i bought it. I was at RXmotors(Vendor here) and i listened to the shop car. Its a 350z with HKS and Megan Resonated pipes which dont even have the biggest resonator in them (actually its quite small from what i have heard) and Charles let me listen and i didnt not hear any rasp whatsoever. To me, you cant judge anything by a youtube video. When i was in the market for an exhaust. I listened to those vids on youtube of the HKS, FI, etc and i couldnt let myself make my decision by listening to a shi1tty, low quality youtube video. Some test pipes may give rasp, probably to every single exhaust, some may not. You just cant base your opinions in such a manner.
