I agree, I like to extract every bit of power as I can. But you really can't disregard the sound changes test pipes will bring.
In my case, I hardly got any rasp. But my exhaust did get very loud. That's a good thing for me...could be bad for others.

That was an interesting read....lol. You guys are crazy I have non resonated test pipes and the stock exhaust. I got some rasp but then I replaced the header and the Y pipe and it went away. I still have the stock muffler but it sounds amazing. I think the sound really depends on a lot of different things. I have heard cars with the same set-ups that sound completly different. To each his own.

It sounds COMPLETELY different. I know 2 ppl N/A with HKS and trust me, its way different. Under cruising and anything but WOT it barely makes a sound. You see, the two turbines each act as a muffler. So in a way, I have 4 mufflers. It is much quieter than any other HKS I know of until I hit WOT.
