Rasp is a pretty common thing on V6-I6-I4 engines. I found the my Twin turbo kit killed ALL of my rasp (I was running headers, non res testpipes, and a modified stillen true duel) [which needless to say was a rasp fest]

You'll even get 'rasp' out of 4.6 mustangs if you open it to much. It just depends on the car- I know my 6.1 Hemi isn't capable of rasp. just depends on the motor.

stock with test pipes:

pretty normal down low. higher rpm's are louder and a bit raspier. i ran that setup for about 6 months.
