Anyway...nice to hear mechanic seems to be there on your behalf.
Yeah OC issue. Got my replacement not too long ago. If you qualify per TSB, then you'll get a new bare long block and head gaskets leaking on old VQ will be solved lol.
How low on oil in 600mi, did mech say?
Did they or are they going to start OC testing to confirm OC?
PM me if you want more details about TSB.

I mainly use Shell, but have used Chevron, 76. Tried Arco a couple times....it's garbage.
Got your PM. Putting some info together and will send later.

Just got the call! It "need's further inspection". They witnessed the white smoke even though it wasnt a cold start and said they would give me a loaner today! Now I cant go to sleep!
Oh well... as long as the issue gets resolved...
Now I have to wait for one of my bud's to get off work so I can catch a ride down there. thank's again everybody! I will post updates as they come!

It's been 4 day's now and I havent heard anything... Clearly there has to be something wrong with my G that requires more than a simple fix or they would have called by now to say "it's Fine, no OC issue." It's at Glendale Infinity. Does anyone know if these guys are any good? Any Outstanding Dealers in So-Cal? I have no issue driving an hour or two in any direction. I'll post updates as I get them. Thanks everyone!
its 100% normal for it to smoke like that. if your not loosing any coolant then it cant be a HG, nor is that ever really a problem with our cars. I would also consider taking my car somewhere else, if i didnt get a loaner when i brought my car in for servicing i would be heated. Hell they saved me a loaner at my dealership when i didnt even request it!
It's official. Time for OC testing... They say car is fine so I said "good, so you'll give me top dollar if I trade it in for an 07' " the dude looked like I punched him in the belly. It was awesome!!! Seriously though guy's. Do the 07' models have this issue? Hell I'd even get an 07' 350Z (which they had there) if it meant not dealing with this S**t!!! Can anybody Let me know?
Thanks!

^ Agree with what you said.
OP...
Yeah...guess go through OC testing and see what the consumption is.
Hmm...wonder why that guy reacted like that when you said trade-in. I read into that as there's something up and they're not telling you everything
The 07 coupes still have same VQ; 07 Sedans have the new VQ35HR, same with 07 350Z's. No OC issues on those like with the older VQ35DE's.
You ever get my PM and EM?
G/L with your dealer and OC testing.
