OP...
Yeah...guess go through OC testing and see what the consumption is.
Hmm...wonder why that guy reacted like that when you said trade-in. I read into that as there's something up and they're not telling you everything

The 07 coupes still have same VQ; 07 Sedans have the new VQ35HR, same with 07 350Z's. No OC issues on those like with the older VQ35DE's.

You ever get my PM and EM?

G/L with your dealer and OC testing.
Yes I did. Thank you bro. I did quite a bit of reading. Man... You are a patient individual... You REALLY had to deal with some BullS**t!!! Switching dealers mid-way through your OC testing because they were incompetent... Sheesh!!! This morning was the worst yet. It smoked for almost 30 seconds... I cant be positive but I would bet that it's going to go through at least 1 quart of oil and then some before the 1000 miles is up... It's really not that big a deal, I just hate that they make us Jump through hoop's instead of just backing their product and taking care of us...

I'd also ask them how they ruled out valve stem seals.
Excellent points!!! I will definitely ask them about everything you stated! Thanks! and as far as the smoke... Hell my 1970 Chevy truck with a 350 doesnt even smoke when I start it! 1970 is not a type-o... But I appreciate all help. Thanks again. I will post more updates as they come...

Okay...glad you got it. Thought maybe I scared you off with all that info and my experiences lol.
Yeah it was a long reading sry bout that but hoped info helped and how to play their games if any started.

Ironically, I'll wish for your consumption to be 1qt/1000mi or worse. That way you'll get a new non-revup VQ that the revup TSB doesn't cover with it's OC pass/fail chart.

Still can't believe they said there's no problem with the smoke on start-up...wow
Keep on top of them...knowledge is power brotha

Thanks to everyone who helped me with all my stupid questions... Just an update to show a little appreciation. I didnt want to jump through hoop's for them so I guess I just did what they hope most of us will do... I got rid of my G.... I am not happy about this and I dont know that I will be buying another Infinity product... I dont care to elaborate and am extremely dis-satisfied with The company as a whole. We pay a premium for our rides just to get treated like we purchased an econo-box piece of crap... In the market for something new. I was thinking 08 Accord coupe 6MT. My friend has one and although it will NEVER be a G, it's pretty sweet. I guess... anyway, I think that I can safely say that a Honda will not give me any Problems.. Any Suggestions?
