Might be cheaper, and they make single exhausts for the G so im not really sure what you mean how its done. It will be lighter and if it's 3 inch piping then it will have similar airflow to a true dual but you might have a little more low end power.

This would run you about 800 bones around. Just buy the HKS carbon ti muffler and get one custom made like Sin3 did. A single 3" is better for NA, not FI. A single 3" doesn't flow enough for FI. You should go dual 2.5" or 3" if you are FI.

here's a pic of my current setup:

I was liking the single exhaust for abit , but with dual outlets and just a single exhaust looks odd IMO.

And really 3in from the exhaust all the way to the cats? Would you really gain power from something pushing that much airflow out for a NA?

I know you need some back pressure for some power on NA's , FI is more flow the better isn't it? Could be wrong I guess

Anyways if you want a single JIC makes a full titanium for 1200 I think, not including Y-pipe, that's another 350 to 400.

And check out zackt69 on youtube, he has the apex single and sounds soo effin mean!

If you have a single turbo its perfect! I think most of the kits out there don't include a y-pipe, AAM might, but the rest just bolt up the stock y-pipe. If you are going NA make sure you don't mind the sound. I wake up the whole street since I set off everyones car alarms everyday and I have something to muffle the noise.....
