Magnaflow developing exhaust for early sedans: Mods, please leave in sedan section

I just received and email from Magnaflow stating they expect to release an exhaust system for the 03.5-06 G35 sedan.

Me: I see you have an exhaust for the 2005 G35 sedan listed on your site with very little information. Are you really making this exhaust or just considering it? Are you in the development stage or have you scrapped the idea?

Magnaflow: Good Morning:
We are in the development/production stage and will defiantly be releasing that system. We don’t have an exact day of release however it should be available in about 3-4 weeks. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for your interest in Magnaflow.

Tony from Motordyne uses Magnaflow on his sedan (has had it for quite a long time)... I think he welded their muffler to Stillen Gen 1.

It will be interesting to see what their full exhaust is... but the timing is wrong - since Motordyne is coming out with their version very soon!

Any description? If it's a single with their resonated X style muffler, that might sound great.

But IMHO, I'd really hope for a true dual using two X muffler sections ala Klubbs.

So when is this thing going to come out! When I check their website they say dual rear exit. Wonder if that dual rear exit will be different than stock and possible more like the coupe?

I called a week ago and the technical rep said early February. He left me on hold for a few moments, so I imagine he verified that ETA or at least asked someone in the know....then again, the OP said 3-4s in July.

Don't understand the hold up, heck they already have them for the new Accord sedans and coupes.

I don't know if I want to go that route, I wanted to see Magnaflows prefabed catback design and compare it to Stillen or Borla's catback system.
I have considered the custom magnaflow route but they really can't put out numbers like the Stillen Exhaust.

I emailed them the other day (02/16/09). Here was their reply:

Good Morning:

This kit is still in the engineering phase unfortunately and we don’t have the initial production run scheduled as of yet. I do apologize for the delay but please fell free to email or give me a call to check back.

Wow...that's what they told me in December when I called. I was hoping to go with magnaflow, guess I'll end up going w/ the HKS rear section and maybe a kinetix HFC.

That's too bad that its still not being released. For such a big company i'm surprised on how long its taking to develop a catback for our car.
