The JWT Popcharger/Z tube combo feels sluggish at low rpms in comparison to the stock airbox. Anyone else feel this way? I think I'll put the stock airbox back on this weekend for further comparison.

I don't feel that I lost any low-end power, but the gains appear to be in the mid/high rpm range.

If there is little air flow down low, there is no restriction there fore no improvement. Oem system are all designed to create no more than 1% restriction at the torque peak rpm.

214 cubic inches /2=[107] .....that x rpm x VE]/1728= air flow in CFM.....thus max air flow 260 CFM at say 4400 rpm......maybe 300 CFM at redline and maybe 30 CFM at 60 mph cruise........7-8 CFM at idle.

The cylinders can never be more than 100% filled by atmospheric pressure.

Many times oem air box and intake are designed to eek out that last fraction of a MPG at 55-60 mph to help CAFE numbers.

When you change things in front of the MAF, the calibration is usually affected.......sometimes good sometimes bad.
