Re: Intake, exhaust, and headers
It all depends on your financial resources. For the rich, 2K
is nothing. For me, it bites!
2003 TwBlue 5AT Sedan, sunroof,
Graphite Leather, splashguards, HKS exhaust,
14 wire Grounding kit, 350Z duct, Stillen CAI
Underbody rear diffusers, Drilled alum pedals
is nothing. For me, it bites!

Yes. But I'm hoping for 30 at redline, 20 at peak. And it's more like $3k and I'm not touching the exhaust. Intake, plenum, headers and cats for me.

Hey I'm no expert but if your gonna go through the trouble of freeing up all that air why would you want to bottleneck it at the last part? Is it for back pressure or something?
Re: Intake, exhaust, and headers
hey I just got all my parts install injen exhaust, injen intake,dc headers my g feels a lot faster and smoother I am so happy with the results the exhaust sounds like a dream and the quality of the product it's amazing, people for me this the best buy out of all exhausts I'm goona dyno my g soon I'm probably in the 305hp at the fly wheel and thats a very conservative estimate don't think it twice if you got the money this is a damn good invesment.. . ohh and one more thing if you gonna do it do it all at once you will really be happy with the gains, if you buy them one by one it won't have the same impact even though it will be the same hp at the end you know what I;m saying???
Hey gonebird I spent $1600 out the door for parts, and 200 to install all these parts I think I got a damn good deal. I bought it from a performance shop in pensacola florida. The cheapest I found it online for was around 1620 so with that info I Challanged VT performance to give it to me for 1600 and they said ITS A DEAL!!! be smart when you go and shop, prices are always negociable, You can probably get better prices from a a local performance shop if you demand for a good deal the internet its not always the best option........
I hope I helped you clear some of your doubts peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Re: Intake, exhaust, and headers
The biggest restriction seems to be the plenum, the headers, the cats, and the Y pipe. After the Y pipe the G is pretty free flowing. After I put on headers, cats and a plenum, the cost/benefit of the y pipe probably just won't add up. In other words, I'm not going to spend $500 for 3 HP.
Doug at Crawford has tested like a madman with all kinds of different combos and when I talked to him he said that behind the cats was the least of my worries and the benefits just wouldn't be all that great if I did the headers, cats and plenum. Now If I stumble on $1100 of "extra" money, I may throw a Stillen dual just for kicks, but we'll see. I'm putting alot of stock in Dougs expertise and testing.
