Hey folks, I've heard this mentioned before but I'd like to get some opinions from folks that have had this exhaust for a few thousand miles. Does the sound mellow out after a while? The "droning" sound around 2500-3500rpm kinda bothers me a bit cause it's a little loud. Do other users notice it going quieter after a while? Thanks.

I have the sedan catback. I put it on when I had under 1000 miles on the car. I have like 6000 miles, on it and it is not as loud as it was when I first got it. So it does kind mellow out a little bit.

you still have the drone.. I am planning on Brown Breadin' the whole car very soon. BUT, i could live with it without doing that. I have had V8's all my life, so am used to it.

Mine mellowed about 300-500 miles after I put it on. I added a Injen CAI about the same time. I think it made the sound well rounded. I get a drone only on above normal engine load around 2K. On the interstate I get a little buzz, but nothing obtrusive. I'm in the Tampa, FL area if anyone ever wants to hear it.

After a while the exhaust will get build up in it and your exhaust will not sound as loud. You shouldn't lose any hp gain because of it. I have a 1987 Honda CRX and about 14 years ago I put on headers for it and it was really loud for about 9 months and then it started to mellow out but it still a little loud. The poor old girl has sat in garage since I bought my G back in October. Its probably time to shoot it.
