Need help....? about catalytic converter

So I have an issue with my car and I'm thinking its the catalytic converter. Assuming it is, I've looked around and that part is quite expensive($400+ for each side).

Rather than spend so much, I was thinking I'd prefer to get a full cat exhaust system like Stillens.

Will this take care of the CC problem?

What's the issue? BTW, a catback will do nothing to fix a cat converter because the converters are forward of the "catback exhaust" hence the term catback.

as requested above, more info would be helpful.

How many miles on your car? If I'm not mistaken, emissions equipment, such as cats, are covered for 8yrs/80k miles ... if it is indeed the cat(s).

like Dave said, what makes you think it's the cats? If it is indeed the cats then there may be a bigger problem that is causing the cats to fail that should be addressed first. I am going out on a limb here and going to assume that the cats are probably fine. Let us know what leads you to think it is the cats. Do you have any SES codes? Post if you do.

If it is indeed the cats you should buy aftermarket hi-flow cats. They are probably cheaper than the OEM's. There are many alternatives, you could even go with test pipes! Keep us informed, we're here to help out.

Test pipes resonated.. used catalytic converters, or high flow cats are all another good option.

What are you looking for? Emmisions? Power? Sound?
