well noise wise i know thats the only differance. I dont know about the shielding to be exact.

But its the same pipe diameter , bends and etc

Wouldnt that be exactly what an 03-04 sedan with a coupe mid pipe would sound like as well? Considering that the coupe mid pipe is similar to the 05-06 sedan one in sound.

Dave posted a comparison somewhere, he has had both and prefers the 05-06 sedan, they do sound different.

I have the 05-06 as well and really like it.

OP: sounds great, pretty gutsy just slapping it in without knowing what will happen. The rest of us thank you for experimenting for us. It sounds like it might be too loud for me but for those looking for that it type of thing it sounds really good.

I tried the magnaflow & I couldn't handle the dronning at certain rpm's so I went with the 05-06 sedan resonator & love it, other members have also reported dronning with the coupe midpipe.

did you use the same style and length of resonator as the OP?

I did, largest one that would fit in the space, mind you the sound is nice but the dronning was too annoying for me.

Maybe the 03-04 has a totaly diffrent header / cat assembly? cause my stock 06 resonator was pure silence....
