I've got the FI Intimidator on my coupe, and its fantastic. Its got a deep growl, and has great build quality. A lot of people out here in Toronto run HKS. It's a great sounding exhaust, but IMHO FI is meaner without being louder than the HKS.

hks...i got my hks from performance factory for $1200 SHIPPED. i think people just need to search around for a good price. also helps since he only had a few left and wanted to get rid of them lol.

ok in all seriousness i would take the FI over the Stillen. Stillen makes really good quality products that most people are satisfied and provided good gains .But...as for noise.. when a friend of mine had the stillen on a 5AT i noticed there would be some drone around the 2200-2600 rpm range and this is with stock cats. so that could be a nuisance later on down the road.

FI has really good quality welds, looks very clean and sounds really really sick with or without tp/hfc and basically most people with FI exhaust love it. FI was my other choice for the exhaust and i think it sounds really similar to the HKS but the deal was pretty good.. so i say FI over Stillen FTMW

 

but seriously... HKS.... lmao just get the FI and call it a day you wont be disappointed.

 

What makes you think the Fast Intentions exhaust performs any less than the Stillen? Even if it did make just a few ponies more than the Fast Intentions (which it doesn't), it is still one of the heaviest exhausts out there for the VQ. IIRC, it's heavier than the stock exhaust itself.

Looks & Sound are subjective, though many will agree that the Stillen doesn't cut it in terms of looks.

I'm a fan of the Stillen exhaust. But, in my opinion, it has nothing over the Fast Intentions exhaust. Then again, that's just my personal opinion. There's no wrong or right when it comes to something subjective

which exhaust puts up the best performance for a coupe? Back when i was thinking about getting a 35 i was reading borla (if im reading correctly) but not sure..

hks is by far a great exhaust..sounds amazing, looks amazing and im sure it gives decent performance as well

^ When it comes to NA, the differences between most true dual exhausts is negligible. (Another important aspect that gets ignored is the weight of the exhaust).

But from what I've heard, Borla isn't an exhaust you want if performance is your priority.

I had the same debate a while back. The hks in person sounds much better then it does in videos, however it wasn't the tone I was looking for. I found someone with the FI, and I liked it, but for some reason I just wasn't thrilled, plus the cost and having to wait for it to be built etc. I got a good deal on a new stillen and I truelly love it. Your best bet is to try and hear them in person, trust me on that one.

Edit: The FI drones more with 5at then the stillen does by the way. That was one of my concerns as well.

Anyone have any prices that they could share on their stillen 2nd gen exhaust for an 07 or 08 sedan?

I purchased one through my dealer after they agreed to match stillen.com's price and do the install for free. (Dealer seemed eager to get my business after I told them I was just going to order it through stillen.com)

If they were going to charge me for labor it would probably be 75 to 100 for install.

The exhaust is 1066 plus tax.
