Is a used exhaust a safe part to buy used from someone?

Yeah it should be, as long as it isn't scraped to hell or rusty as crap, just ask for good pictures of it. A good quality exhaust system should last a long time.

 

Every aftermarket exhaust i have owned was used. I'm on my third.

 

check for rust .. most aftermarket exhaust are stainless still or expensive A$$ titanium .. so you should be good

make sure it comes with all the necessary hardware and gaskets .. if not you can pick it all up at a exhaust shop or auto store (i would hope)

and check for damage of course
