Do you have to remove the bumper to install the CAI??? And do you install any Air By-pass Valve?

I was certain that there isnt a Stillen CAI, being released due to there prototypes not achieving there desired goals.

Air By-pass valve, is a nessesity for any intake low to the ground. I am not sure if injen intake kit is shipping with one. It might just be built in. If it doesnt, avoid all water on your drive directly to an auto shop.

I just got a reply from K&N regarding their CAI. Below is my question and K&N's answer.

I am inquiring if your company will manufacture a Cold Air Intake system designed for the 2003 Infinity G35 Sedan? Thanks.

Answer:

Unfortunately, there is no Kit for your vehicle at this time. Please check back in 60-90 days for a possible update. Also, you can check our web site at http://www.knfilters.com/ it is updated every Monday with new products.

That's their standard reply I think up to the day before the actual release date. I remember calling them frequently re an application for my Mazda years ago. They do R & D and release based on the demand and I was told they keep track of the number of calls requesting a particular application. I must have logged at least 2-3 dozen calls myself! [img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img] They gave the same answer as you received virtually every time over the course of several months until it was actually released. He's bound by a non disclosure aggreement and can't say any more. But it's a good bet K&N will release it soon tho.

Kongz: Remember, that for them to void your warrenty.. they have to be able to proove without a doubt that your problem was cuased by your CAI..

I didn't do the install myself. I watched the install and it looked like a real b!tch. They didn't remove the bumper but removed the whell well lining to get in there.
