You clean the Amsoil by using compressed air or a vacuum. It is basically a paper filter so water would destroy it.

 

the difference between the filters is the material its made of. r2c uses a filter media. unsure what AEM is made of. Most of the aftermarket filters are guaze. I'm heading to the dyno soon, i'll post results as soon as I have them.

Also, i didnt modify the stock air box, that is the heat shield that it comes with. Its actually pretty nice.
