NEW R2C Performance Intake *PICS*

Many of you have never heard of this company, but believe me they know what they are talking about. I approached them a little over a year ago to design an intake system for the Z/G. After a lot of R&D and patents they've completed it. Here are a few bad pics. I believe they have some better ones on their site http://www.r2cperformance.com/
They also explain why the material used for their filters is superior. And the intake tube is rectangular in shape and larger than the stock tube. Very noticealbe gain in 2nd and 3rd gear. Also, their filters require NO oiling! Never. Check them out.

LOL yeah they are. I asked them about that today and they laughed and mentioned how much of a ***** it was going to be but it would be done. i've never seen a 37 bay up close but they said it was very cramped.

because it's been proven better or the same as the other intakes with just a K&N drop-in. If some one was to do a before and after dyno on the same day with gains then I would change my mind.

I plan on getting their panel filter though. Are there any dyno sheets out on this yet for comparison?

I guess the best thing to do is buy the filter if you already have a intake system for the ease of cleaning and keeping dirt out your engine better. Especially if the performance is expected to be the same as the other intakes setups with oil filters on the market. IMHO

I plan on getting their panel filter. I'm tired of cleaning the oil off my MAF sensor from my K&N drop in.

Did they advise of a proposed release date for the panel filter. I am trying to decide between this and the new AEM Dryflow panel filter. It will probably be whatever comes out first.

no, but it's between R2, AEM and Amsoil panel filters. The last 2 are available now.

If you don't mind me asking what did you do to your airbox to modify it?

Honestly, the AEM filter material looks similar to the R2C stuff. Both are dry and have a white color. Both are distancing themselves from K&N's cotton guaze material.

I don't mind, all I did was take the resonators off of the bottom. Sounds great, but don't know if it added any power. I plan on accessing cold air from the lower air vent, but haven't yet.
I have the Amsoil Nano filter, but want something like R2C is coming out with. I like the ability to wash it with water to make sure it is really clean. I wasn't aware AEM had their panel filter out yet.

Sorry the only one that is out is the Amsoil. AEM is looking for people to R&D the panel filter.

How do you clean the Amsoil filter?

Thanks for the airbox info I was wondering if the baffles did anything.
