Need HELP ASAP after HKS Exhaust Install

Guys i am STUMPED!!!
Just went for a ride after the install and my car just died. There was a small amount of smoke coming from the connection between the Y Pipe and Exhaust manifold. I already checked the gasket and the bolts are tight as hell!!!! (Is there a possibility that i tighten it to much????) What else could i check for????
Thanks in advance, Need the car running ASAP.

Is there something jammed into the exhaust that you didn't remove? Ie, packing material maybe?

^^^^Naw i dont think so!!
What about a bad o2 Sensor do you guys think that might cause it???
As soon as i start my car my idle drops all the way down and my car dies.

I dont think packing material would have cause it unless it was like a brick but if it was a brick it wouldnt have been able to get there. Once you start the car everything in the pipes will get blown out in the tailpipes given it was packing material and not a brick

thats really odd... no i dont think a bad 02 sensor would just turn your car off... honestly i would just take everything off, and re-install again...

So after a long day yest i still cant drive my car lol. I took the MAF Sensor off and the car was like normal, and as soon as i put it back on it dies on me. I think i might have an air leak somewhere!!! I dont know were to look??? I got a bottle of water and but soap in it and sprayed all over the engine almost to see if air would come out and nothing!! Should i take it to a shot to look at it or dealership????

Did you do any other work? or just the exhaust?

Have you done an ECU reset yet?

is this the hks true dual TI exhaust? which would mean u don't have a Y pipe right? do u have any HFC or anything else besides the exhaust? or headers? you could have a bad MAF or bad O2 sensor? do u have the O2 stimulators? How does the car start up? and how is the idle? you could have a bad gasket too between the y pipe and exhaust manifold

Did you try putting your stock exhaust back on? See if it still does it with your stock exhaust on.

What does it do if you leave your O2 sensors unplugged?

I was thinking about putting the stock one back on but its a pain in the a**. I talk to a guy at the dealership and he also said that i might have a bad MAF Sensor!! I have not touchd the O2 Sensors. And yes its the true dual but it DOES come with a Y Pipe.

I dunno. Go pull the O2 sensors and leave the MAF on and see what it does. Then try w/ both off. Also make sure to reset the ECU after each test. Let us know what it does each time. Its kinda hard to believe that your exhaust install and a brand new problem are unrelated.
