Isolated my mid-pipe/heat shield vibration...

So I've been messing around with my midpipe to isolate the rattles/vibrations I was having before, and got most out. This started when I scraped slightly on both a ridiculous speed bump and a high driveway in the same week.

The only noise left is a really dull vibration (almost a grinding sound) that's steady at idle, and most prominent when the car is cold or I go over dips/bumps in the road. It's exactly under the *** of the driver side rear passenger, like if I put my ear against the bottom of the seat I can hear it directly under there. The midpipe is not touching the heat shield at all, at this point I'm worried the heat shield is making contact with what's above it.

What's above the heat shield, how bad is it that I'm driving right now, and are there any solutions other than rebending it with my hands? I'd really like to seek a more permanent solution here so I don't have to worry all the time.

I have same problem and don't recall scraping a speed bump. I think its a design defect. I plan to take it back to dealership for repair. I'm also experiencing a vibration on the shifter ****. At around 5k rpm's it starts to vibrate. If I squeeze it, the vibration goes away. Any thoughts?

Are you absolutely sure the coupe midpipe is not contacting the driveshaft heat shield? When I had my coupe midpipe, I had to bend the shield because of clearance issues. It's not easily seen and the only way to test is to jiggle the midpipe around. What about the lower tie bar that sits below the midpipe? Clearance might be too close on that too. You need at least 3/4" clearance in all directions. Exhaust components shift around a lot when the car is in motion and the engine moves as well which moves the exhaust.
