Exclamation Help! 2005 G35X

Hey all, been using the search button relentlessly, and after much research I still have some questions to ask.

1. Which type of exhaust (true dual or single in/out) will net me the best blend of flow vs exhaust velocity ( HP vs TQ )? Decibels/Drone is NOT an issue for me, I love Engine Music just as much as classic rock, and I am going to spend money, I want to hear that **** when I am @ WOT.

2. I have seen in many posts that mixing parts could net you a loss in power. I want to get headers, but I am hesitant to spend that kind of money if it could net me a loss. Ofcourse I realize that until a new e tune is performed i could see power loss, but I'd like to be as informed as possible before I go blow my $$$. That being said, which is the best for POWER (assuming a tune)? Being that there isnt hardly any room down there, I really dont care about aesthetics. Does ceramic really not transmit heat as much as stainless steel?

3. Has anyone installed the JWT S2 cam for the 5AT VQ35DE? I like that cam a lot, and I'd definitely get the valve spring kit as well.

NOTE: I am going to purchase the Cipher and the Osiris and have them do an Etune for these mods so that will be covered. I have narrowed it down to the Stillen G2 (like it the best due to having a direct bolt on kit for the AWD) and the Borla. I like the FI system for the single in/out, and before its suggested HKS is way out of my price range. If single in/out is the best answer for my NA build, what Y pipe is the best one to use for the same aforementioned balance of power? Test pipes or HFC's? Most of my spirited driving is done on very windy roads to take advantage of my AWD. That being said I dont want to be a snail off the line just have a few more high end ponies. I'd like to keep a good balance.

I will also be running the Kinetix intake manifold regardless of my exhaust choice, and I currently have the JWT Popcharger and Ztube...LOVE the sound and slight increase in throttle response. I am open to anyone's opinion, however if you have dynographs, Id like to see them. I thank-you all for your time.

i personally would try to do a custom apex'i exhaust with 3in piping all the way through... that would definitely give you the sound you desire, without loss of back pressure.... or actually maybe 3in is too big... try 2.5...

anyways... with our cars, hardly any bolt-ons will show significant gains. w/o a tune you're looking at a 8-12 hp gain with some loss of torque. after a tune you'll gain another 20-30 BEST CASE scenario... and some lbs of torque too

is that apex'i a single in/out exhaust system? I will be running stock cats for now and then doing test pipes/hfc. If it is, what y pipe would you recommend? Thanks
