debate on installing my test pipes...

i'm debating whether or not to install my un-resonated test pipes... because they aren't resonated... when i had them on my stock exhaust it sounded fine, but i'm scared of how loud they'll be when i install them....does the resonating help muffle the sound? or does it simply act as a resonator (what's the difference?) btw i have a custom exhaust....

I heard people say that un-resonated test pipes are a bit much on any exhaust, and I assume that by going custom, you got something fairly aggressive. IMO go with the resonated test pipes or some HFCs.

rasp....tons of it, if you like you stock exhaust note but would like to amplify it go with resonated test pipes.

A muffler is just another resonator made to filter out other lower pitch sounds that the resonator in the exhaust piping does not... So yes, it should be quieter.
