You guys also have to remember that the exhaust is made for the 350z and not the G. Therefore, the tips will be short and a 6" extension for the midpipe must be used.

Also, there is some concern about a CEL condition because some sort of canister has to be detached. Moog knows someone with this exhaust on his G and he has promised pictures of the tips when he can get them. He also mentioned that there were no fitment issues that he knew of. I'll ask him specifically about the 'canister' if that's what it is.

This sumb*tch is expensive but it sounds great from the clip I've heard. I'm interested in the weight savings. The stock midpipe and muffler is over 60 lbs. The amuse is under 20.

If there has to be some emissions modifications to make this work, I'm not going to do it. Hopefully Moog will get back to me soon.

Wouldn't the tips still stay under the rear diffuser by about 1" to 2" more than the stock exhaust? Isn't this the same "problem" that the Nismo Exhaust has? Am I missing something here?

301-bhp!!! ...and growing!

that's what I'm thinking, neff. I remember those pics by vitesse of his nismo exhaust and how short it was. Perhaps the amuse will be slightly shorter or longer. If it's any longer than the nismo, it'll be fine with me. I'll wait for the pics from moog to make the decision though.

I was sure that a extension is needed for the exhaust. So there is more needed to make a perfect fit?

The 6" extension goes between the y-pipe and the mid-pipe. Even with that extension the bumpers on the G and Z are different. The tips on the exhausts made for the Z are much shorter than those for the G.

Do a search for nismo exhaust and look for posts by Vitesse. He posted some pics of how short the tips were.

Yeah I think I've seen that NISMO exhaust on a black coupe with a veilside bodykit on. Didn't look to pretty because the tips were almost behind the rearsection. Wow, I guess pics and info about Moog's friend will us help.

Thanks,

Chris

Could a local exhaust shop do the trick? I think we should do the group buy from bulletproofautomotive.com
What do you guys think?

Is anybody else interested in buying one? No? I guess the group buy is not worth it since this exhaust is so damn expensive.
