Okay I did the Motordyne re-learning today all over again after Autozone reset my CEL. And here are some pics of the idle RPM's.

This is normally where the idle sits when the car is driving and comes to a stop light for example, this is when I snapped this picture:

And here is when I was in front of my house after the engine was warm the idle will flucuate between the above picture and started to bog down almost and not sound too good, and it drops to about here:

Anything else I should try? I don't know how to do anything with the MAF sensor but I can take a picture of the intake if that would help?

Check you intake install again.

You might have a leak somewhere

I has same thing when I installed my plenum spacer.
The light kept on coming back and my idle levels so low the car was practically dying
turned out I had a leak under the spacer and computer kept on throwing codes.

So just check and make sure that everything is installed properly.

I didn't install the intake though so that would basically be me taking it back to my buddy's shop which is just too much of a pain! I'll take a picture of it and see if anything looks different.

hmmm so what is the timeline for your mods?

did you get the spacer and intake put on at the same time?

if you had the spacer on before the intake and had no CEL then it's probably fine and the intake is the problem.

like someone else said, the MAF could be backwards... or, like i suggested, your friend might have forgot to reconnect the EGR line under the ztube

Double check the MAF. Just take everything out and put it all back in. Make sure everything is all connected.

the MAF should be facing this way (connector toward the rear of the car)

I'm really unsure about all of this stuff as I didn't install the intake but here are some pictures I snapped under the hood, tell me if I need to fix anything. I've installed the intakes on all of my previous cars but I just didn't feel like getting my hands dirty with this car for whatever reason:

Thanks!

I just reset my ECU completely disconnected the negative terminal of the battery, pressed down the brake pedal for 30+ seconds and pumped the brake pedal, and just started it back up. I did the first 2 parts of the Motordyne list above and am waiting now for the engine to warmup to do the final test. The idle isn't bad but randomly drops to around 500 RPM's and bogs and down almost sounds like it's going to stall out! I don't get it at all sounded like my previous Prelude before the motor blew, lol.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

You seriously shouldn't have any problems when installing an intake. Whoever installed it, had to have forgotten something. Take it out, and re-install it. If you've done it on other cars you can do it on this. It will take you no more than 30 minutes.

weird... looks installed properly.

also, check that the MAF is not close to that silver tubing... over time vibration can wear a hole in that line and then you'll have an $800 fix (it's the AC line)

personally, i wrapped my AC line with wire loom and electrical tape to be safe.

for more info check https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...e-ac-line.html

man i really don't know what to tell you, i'm stumped about your problem... everything looks properly installed

good luck man! i'll keep checking this thread for updates and try to help

1.) unclip the MAF connector circled in green
2.) unscrew the 4 bolts in red
3.) loosen the screw thats circled in blue.
4.) squish the little pleated area on the intake tube so you can take the MAF out.
5.) BE CAREFUL!
6.) spray this stuff all over the inside of the MAF and onto the little sensor inside it

7.) reinstall everything

pretty easy, shouldn't take more than 30 minutes
