My wife's '04 G35X has a raspy sound under load from 2000-2600 rpm. It is a strong sound (like a hollow catalytic converter), not like a heat shield rattle.

The dealer won't do anything because it doesn't cause a check engine light. It is still covered by warrantee for a few more k miles, then it's all ours. I am trying to get the dealer to do as much as possible while we are under warrantee.
The pass side cat pipe was replaced about 12k miles ago, so I am thinking the drivers side is bad...but no code to confirm it.
Any ideas?

Look at the bottom of the exhaust, you might have a hole in it somewhere. GeoBau's exhaust has a hole in it and sounds just like this. If you can get under the car at all look at the exhaust and see if there is a hole or leak anywhere.
