JVT headers??

Did a search couldnt find anything on them.. Anywas i have an exhaust leak, prolly from a gasket, or the y-pipe. My car is lowered, so unfortunatly i scrape sometimes. So i planned on buying MD new exhaust, Berks HFC, and i thought while im at it i would install some headers. I ran across someone selling JVT headers (stainless steel) for cheap, brand new too. Just wondering if it would be a waste of money, because i know headers dont add much HP/TQ, but for the price it may not hurt. My car specs is in my sig. THANKS!!

shops will charge between $400 and $800 to install headers. Since it is such an expensive install, I would not reccomend cheap Chinese headers since the labor to replace them if they cracked would be a disaster.

yeah..thats what i thought about them. Cheap for a reason. Will the stock headers be ok with HFC and full exhaust? I want to wait for MD dual shockwave for the G. maybe just get headers from the HR motor..i plan on going FI within the year so maybe ill just wait for that.

The stock manifolds are fine.
Unless you do test pipes and internal work on the engine, headers dont do much.

stock headers with HFC, exhaust and plenum spacer are a GREAT combo! I ran that way for a long time (with a few other things) and had great results.

For the money headers aren’t worth it - even with cams. You will see gains (with cams) - but it simply isn’t worth the price. (first hand).

It does help you beat most (if not all) other NA VQs though – and it’s about the only way you will beat NA G37s and 07+ sedans. At a steep price.

yeah heard that about both the exhaust and cams. I plan on buying a standalone or piggyback system soon, because i do plan on turbo in the near future. But was doing my exhaust now and thought to do it the whole way thru. thanks

oh yeah, i pulled on the new g37s...i know it has more power, but it also weighs more..dunno.
