Re: NISMO EXAUST

I just received the following from Jenny at Performance Nissan when I inquired about the differences between the Nismo exhaust and the Fujitsubo exhaust (designed specifically for the G). Also, all Caps indicate shouting in internet land. I didn't know if you were aware of that or not.

"Todd,
The Fujitsubo exhaust is made specifically for the G35. This exhaust
system and Y Pipe equal the same length as the Nismo Exhaust with the 6"
extension. The tips are also a bit longer on the Fujitsubo in order to clear
the rear bumper. These are the major differences between the systems. The
sale priced posted on G35driver for the Fujitsubo system and the Y-Pipe is
$1245.00. Shipping will be roughly $95.00 to Memphis. Thanks for checking
with us!!"

The Nismo exhaust has tips that will be shorter than the G tips. You will also need the 6" extender to make the Nismo work.

Re: NISMO EXAUST

Well, although I agree with you Neff, she said "major differences", even when I asked for "any differences". As usual, a vendor only answered half my questions. You should try getting technical info out of them for wheels! Pulling teeth is alot easier.

Re: NISMO EXAUST

The Borla and Fuji couldn't be more different. Dave O wrote a summary of exhausts (that didn't include the Fuji) from an exhaust shoot out he read in a mag, you may want to PM him for his original write up, but basically they make different power at different points in the power band. They also have different tone. The important things I remembered were the Borla gave up torque on the low end but made more on the high end. The Nismo lost nothing on the low end but didn't get as much on the high end. If you believe like I do that the Nismo is equivalent to the Fuji, his summary may be useful to you. Do a search on "exhaust shootout" or PM Dave O.
