HKS Sport Exhaust hp gain?

How much hp and torque do you approximately gain from this exhaust?

I agree, you don't buy it for the gain. However the sound.....

Yes.

to the op, putting on the coupe midpipe and HKS exhaust probably released 3-5 horsepower total at the crank. This is probably a 2 horsepower increase at the wheels by better exhaust flow, less back-pressure and weight savings. It is just my guess--no dyno other than butt-dyno. It feels peppier, engine revs smoother, and tires chirp a bit more.

But as my ava-text says, it is mainly an orgasmic sound mod.

Mufflers are *usually* for sound only on an N/A application...but i love when the civic guys claim a 30HP gain from a muffler.

In civic ville, you add the numbers claimed by the manufacturer...regardless of the application

If you want power from your exhaust you have to replace parts forward of the cat. (y-pipe, hfc, headers)

I stand corrected, but my point is still valid. Look other places for power gains in an exhaust other than the muffler.

Im just an internet mechanic, parts go where I envision them while sitting at my computer chair. haha

No, no, no... you guys keep getting it wrong... it's the stickers that come with the exhaust that makes the power...

I think the HKS is **** and a Megan is a good inexpensive alternative that sounds good and shows some gains.

The problem with Megan is it is too loud for some people. I don't know if anyone has dyno'd it to see if it has any gains, but it is possible the Megan doesn't increase hp either.
