the lower or upper plenum? Most people buy a spacer or a larger upper plenum. Some shave certain spots on the lower plenum for gains.

I once tried a full smoothing and polishing of the inside of the runners of the lower plenum.

On the dyno, it didn't really show enough to justify all the effort.

A 4 HP blip about 500 rpm wide at 5500 RPM. That was it.

 

Shows how well it was designed in the first place.

 

Yeah. Once you get to the 90hp/liter realm, it's pretty hard to improve on top of that with no power adders.

 

Speaking of HP/liter, did you see who won the Syntech Top Shop Chalenge?

Modified Magazine, I think it was like 590 hp/liter! Holy crap!
