This question I have refers to this post https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...ght-pipes.html I asked this question in this post and it has over 300 views yet no one wants to answer it. So i figured I could get a better response here in the exhaust section of the forum.
So my question is to that post... All he did was take out the muffler and put a straight pipe there correct? If that is correct wouldnt you loose significant power from loss of back pressure. If not I would like to do this mod if its fairly cheap and has a nice deeper or louder tone. How much do you think this mod would run?

The main back pressure source (the cats) is still there. Also, and I don't know why people always think this. You don't need back pressure to get power. Your engine is an air pump, the better it can move air the better, back pressure is a bad thing in 99% of ways.
As for price, not much at all, exhaust pipe is pretty cheep.

O really sweet Then I think I should go ahead and give this mod a try. Will any muffler shop do this and also I ran my car with out a muffler for about 30 min and lost significant power that I could honestly feel that I lost...The car was much louder but much slower. When I put the muffler back on It felt so much faster thats the only reason I ask if this mod will hurt my power. If not ill be going for it
