i know the thread is about a year old but maybe someone can answer this....

was the increased loudness is more a result from the hfc or borla exhaust? i'd imagine it's probably the borla cuz they're known for having loud systems... i guess what i'm wondering is if i had a stock exhaust with hfc, would i experience that much more loudness?

 

It would be a combination of both put together. The borla is a good exhaust system and will make the exhaust note louder. The HFC's on top of it will make it louder.

 

The Borla SERIOUSLY needs a resonated X-Pipe to quiet things down and help low end throttle response.

 

hmm, maybe i'll check out labree. i had good results with their hfc on my old vdub. i presume no codes with this cat?

 

Sorry man, I think it sounds pretty bad. Kinda loose and sloppy.

I'm sure the camera had something to do with the sound quality as well.

Im runnin it with MagnaFlow resonated Xpipe.

Camera quality yes, It was blackberry. But nothing sounds bad or loose about it. Deep very throaty note.

That's why I don't like to listen to videos of exhausts. Never really gives a real world impression of how they sound. Glad you like it.

 

yea blackberry isnt the best recording device. lol
It gets compliments all the time, and Since I had to get custom work done to it to make it fit around the AWD transfer case. people ready to buy it, but I enjoy it too much to let it go.
