Yea I was thinking of getting liquid wrench before I try this again. All I had was WD40 at the time so I just sprayed it but didnt try to get it off yet.Originally Posted by elrooko

It's like a 22M I believe. Trust me, get the O2 removal socket. Go to a Pep-boys or AutoZone or something. It's money well spent. Also when you remove the o2 sensors try not to get any dirt or oil on them as they are pretty sensitive. If you gum them up you'll throw a code. The removal sockey makes it pretty easy to control the sensor as you remove it and most likely you won't need to spray on any oil or liquid wrench to get it out. The torque from the socket wrench will snap it out.

FINALLY got them in. My O2 sensor threads are bad and they need replacing so that made this process take a LOT longer but everything is in now and is running smoothly. I also installed clear corners with the HFC's and in the next couple of days will be installing the Injen CAI and hotchkis sway bars

Alright....that's it...I'm ordering my set of HFCs. Just gotta figure out which ones I want to go with.
I'll be using them with the stock exhaust and hopefully the 350z HR Y pipe (still negotiating for one right now as we speak)
Any suggestions?

I like the kinetix, besides lacking instructions and enough bolts to actually install the damn things they are pretty good. fit and finish looks great. they are a lot lighter than my stock cats and I removed the bracket on the transmission that also supported the stock cats which also got rid of some extra weight. 07, do you have any recording of your car with the HFCs? I'm looking to see if you have an startup idle with a revup recording and perhaps an in car recording and or driveby recording.
I know its a long shot but I would be very greatful. I can't seem to find any clips of these specific sounds on a stock exhaust with HFCs installed.
You would really help all of us out on the board if you happen to have these sound bites available.

Just one thing to keep in mind guys. Most of the HFC on the market do not have the factory transmission brace tab. IMHO you really need this. The brace is designed to keep the cats from flexing when the engine is torquing. This brace should eliminate most of the cracks people are seeing on the HFC right on the bottom welds.
Berk has these tabs and they have only had 1 or 2 cracked cats, and they replaced them free of charge. Just keep that in mind. Also, both Berk and FI use the same Magnaflow cat.

i mean the install is fairly easy, id invest in a impact wrench *electrical* worth the 90 bux for my kawasaki.

My car's parked too far away from the socket in my building's garage. So I need some sort of alternative to attack this next project

Niice! Can't wait to see. I ordered my Berks yesterday. I'll have my clips up as early as next week
I was only able to get a clip of starting up the car and reving it last night. I havnt had a chance to get a drive by clip yet but should get that done today.
