What plenum should i go with?

I was looking on the plenums and got very interested, they are pretty cheap and give some good gains from what they say. The choses are crawford, kinetix, and motordyne. I heard crawford was good. I heard some kinetix crack the v+, and the motordyne is only good for the rev up or you just see more gains with a rev up. Now is that with all the plenums are they better for the rev up? Now if i get a plenum what spacer would i use, i know with the mrev2 u can use a motordyne spacer how bout the rest? Thx

I would like to know also. I was thinking of motordyne because it looks like most go with that. Still would like to see what everyone thinks though.

That would be the MREV2 lower plenum.
On a non revup engine it works very similar to the spacer.
On a REVUP engine it makes much more gains.
In your case, you have a non-revup engine, so just keep it simple and go with a spacer.

I know this can be confusing to the casual observer but if you have any questions feel free to contact me.

You can use other aftermarket upper plenums on the MREV2 lower plenum... but you cant use other aftermarket upper plenums on a spacer. (Fitment issues.)

When it comes to upper plenums and spacers, its an either or situation. You can only do one.

I hope this is reasonably clear

Alright but its pretty confusing. The mrev2 and the kinextix v+ and totally different things. But if the kinetix says 14 whp isnt it worth it?

The only thing I know about the kinetix plenum is the dyno results of the Sport Z Magazine Plenum Mod Shootout.

Results are posted here:http://motordyneengineering.com/dynos.htm

I would recommend the Motordyne spacer...

and then I would recommend buying Motrdyne's exhaust as well...

So the plenum spacer gives more power than a whole plenum from kinetix. Thats what it looks like on the dyno thats shocking!

And the 5/16" spacer makes more average power than the 1/2" spacer.

It may be counter intuitive but the dyno is blind.

those dyno's show the kinetix to make like 1hp more from 0-4500rpm. and then it falls off into no where land making a lot less.

I would like to see a zoomed in for 0-5000 rpm like how you guys did the 5000- redline.

from 5000-redline it seems as the 5/16 made more peak but the 1/2 has more under the curve in that area.

You have any dyno info on what it would look like if MREV was installed on a non-rev?

The highest level of detail is in the "A" minus "B" plots shown on the website.
In fact the detail is as high as it can possibly be because it is the baseline dyno subtracted from the post dyno. This way only the change in power is shown. It can't get any more detailed than that.

Yes.

Below is a nother comparison of Stock Vs Spacer Vs MREV2 Vs Spacer with MREV2. All of this testing was performed on a 2004 G35 Sedan with the non-revup engine.

Also see this link to an independent test on a NON-REVUP engine.
This was an independent test performed by one of the MY350Z moderators.
