i have a 04 g coupe.. im going for sound and performance... what do you guys think the cold air sp injen or the z-tube drop in filter. I personally like the cold air. what do you thin?

 

Neither is going to give you performance gain. You may even lose some low end with a cold air. Go with the one that sounds better to you.

It's been dyno proven that the stock air box with Z tube will make more power than long pipe styled air intake like the Injen or the Aem/nismo.

That being said, I went with the K&N typhoon cold air intake (similiar to aem intake) because I like all the shiny stuff when I look at my engine bay.

 

The only thing nice about the CAIs is the sound they make; otherwise they lose HP.

OP, if I were you, I'd go with z-tube and an 06+ airbox (because they have larger velocity stacks) OR I'd go with a Stillen Intake kit paired with an R2C Filter (that's what I have, <3 it).
